2023 ONLINE QUALIFIER FAQs

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Q: How do we submit videos?

A: The best way is to use the video recorder in the StreamFit app, the WODProof app, or whatever camera you like. Upload the videos to YouTube or Vimeo, or just hang on to them for now. We will ask for links and videos as needed.

Q: Do I need to introduce myself in the video?

A: It helps, but as long as we know who the video belongs to it’s okay if you forget.

Q: Are the Instagram Reels/Posts the standards for movements?

A: NO. The movement standards are detailed in the workout descriptions on this site. They mirror the standards for the movement as used in the most recent CrossFit Games Season. The videos are just for social media promotion and should NOT be used as standards. We have made adjustments to the standards since the videos were shot/released.

Q: Do I need to use the provided scorecards?

A: No, there is no requirement to use the scorecards. These are here to help you and your judge out if needed.

TEST 1

Q: Do I need to show my weights for the complex?

A: At a minimum, you need to show and confirm the weight of your heaviest completed complex. That means showing barbell weight and bumper/change plate weight for that lift. You CAN do this at the end of the video after you complete the lift.

Q: Can I have help loading my barbell between complex attempts?

A: Yes, you may have assistance loading and unloading the barbell between attempts.

Q: Can I start with a barbell loaded with my first complex attempt weight?

A: Yes, the barbell may be loaded with your first weight to be attempted prior to starting the workout.

Q: The time expired during my last lift attempt. Do I count it?

A: As long as the barbell left the ground before the clock expired, you can count the lift as long as all other standards are met.

Q: Do I need to reset the rower monitor between rounds?

A: NO! No need to reset the monitor. Just record your total calories at the end, and make sure to show the screen in your video!
