WELCOME TO THE 2023 PIT TEEN THROWDOWN!
This site can serve as your main hub throughout the Throwdown experience. Athletes will be able to find all of the information they need, from Registration, Workouts, Schedules, Leaderboards, and Media. The site will be continuously updated as the event approaches and information becomes available.
DIVISIONS FOR EVERYONE
The Pit Teen Throwdown offers divisions for 3 different age groups and gives Athletes the ability to compete against peers with similar skill and experience levels.
Age Groups for 2023 are determined by Birthdate:
14-15 Age Group – DOB between 9/1/2007 and 9/1/2009
16-17 Age Group – DOB between 9/1/2005 and 9/1/2007
18-22 Age Group – DOB between 9/1/2001 and 9/1/2005
Our Junior Varsity division will be presented with multiple tests on the opening day of the Throwdown. Programming is challenging and the energy is high. A great opportunity for many Athletes to hit new PR’s and achieve some “Firsts”!
The Varsity division can expect advanced skills to be tested and big weights to be loaded. The Varsity events span from Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon. The intensity is REAL.
The Collegiate division is reserved for our 18-22 year old Athletes who have “aged out” of CrossFit age groups. Events will span from Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon.
The Junior Varsity and Varsity Divisions are determined by the Online Qualifier, so get signed up and SEND IT! The Top 20 finishers in each age group for male and female will be invited to compete with the Varsity Division, while the next 20 athletes will receive an invite to compete in the Junior Varsity Division. Backfills will be made accordingly.
The Collegiate Division will be “Open” with spots limited to the first 20 Males and first 20 Females to register for the Throwdown beginning on June 1st.

THROWDOWN EVENT STAGES
A 65 acre playground filled with wooded trails, sand pits, ponds, hills, and a 10,000 square foot gym provides an amazing space to create unique and challenging programming for competitive athletes. Expect your fitness, skill, and mental strength to be put to the test in multiple demanding settings.
