EVENT DETAILS AND FLOOR PLAN

EVENT 3: AMRAP CLEAN AND JERK, CHEST-TO-BAR, BOX JUMPS

Complete as many reps as possible in 9 minutes of:
3 Clean and Jerks
3 Chest-to-bar pull-ups
3 Box Jumps
6 Clean and Jerks
6 Chest-to-bar pull-ups
6 Box Jumps
9 Clean and Jerks
9 Chest-to-bar pull-ups
9 Box Jumps

This is a timed workout. If you complete the round of 9, go on to 12. If you complete 12, go on to 15, etc.

Varsity
♀ 95-lb barbell, 20-in box
♂ 135-lb barbell, 24-in box
Chest-to-bar pull-ups

Junior Varsity
♀ 65-lb barbell, 20-in box
♂ 95-lb barbell, 24-in box
Chin Over Bar Pull-Ups

PULL-UPS

  • The athlete must start each rep with arms fully extended and feet off the ground
  • Any style of pull-up or grip is permitted as long as the requirements are met
  • The rep is credited when the athlete’s chin breaks the horizontal plane of the bar

CHEST-TO-BAR PULL-UPS

  • The athlete must start each rep with their arms fully extended and their feet off the ground
  • Any style of pull-up or grip is permitted as long as the other requirements are met
  • The rep is credited when the athlete’s chest clearly comes into contact with the bar at or below the collarbone.

BOX JUMP

  • Rep is credited when both feet are on top of the box and the athlete’s hips and knees are fully extended

CLEAN AND JERK

  • The lift must have two distinct phases: the clean and the jerk
  • Snatching is not permitted
  • The barbell must make contact with the shoulders
  • It is NOT necessary to lock out the hips and legs to complete the clean before lifting the bar overhead
  • The rep is credited when
    • The barbell is locked out overhead, and arms, hips, and legs are extended
    • The bar is over or slightly behind the center of the body, with feet in line
  • A press, push press, push jerk, or split jerk are all permitted as long as the required finish position is achieved.
